    • Clearing the Line Customer is resposible for clearing any debris, vines, and overgrowth on any existing fence that needs to be removed by our installers, as well as any shrubbery and other landscaping that they may want to save. We will need at least 2-3 feet of clearance for a proper installation.

Frequently Asked Questions

Got questions about fencing? We’ve got answers! Here are some of the most common inquiries we receive from our customers.

  • Do I need a permit to install a fence in Hernando County?

A building permit is required for most construction related work, however, some improvements of real property may not require a building permit. For residental fences less than 7 feet in height (unless supported by brick, block, or concrete columns) do not require a permit. Residential fences above 7 feet in height, and Commercial fences require a permit.

Allied Fence is fully licensed and insured, and we handle the entire permitting process for you.

  • How long does the installation process take?

Installation time can vary based on the type of fence and the size of the project. Typically, most installations are completed within a day or two. Weather could also be a factor.

  • Does your company pull my HOA approval for me?

No. HOA's only legally interact with property owners, homeowners must submit the request form to their respective HOA boards.

What our company will provide you with is the material specs, layout sketches, licenses and insurances for submittal.

  • What happens if I install a fence without HOA approval?

If a fence is installed without official HOA approval, the HOA has the legal right to fine you, or force you to remove/modify the fence at your expense, even if it complies with local building regulations. We highly recommend waiting for written approval before we begin digging.
